This Privacy Policy explains how FlatLabs collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use flatsgenerator.com. We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law (Loi Informatique et Libertés).

What Data We Collect

We only collect data that you actively provide to us. Specifically:

  • Name and email address — when you submit our contact / lead capture form before downloading a free SVG.
  • Email address and payment information — when you purchase a Tech Pack PDF (PRO tier). Payment data is processed directly by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
  • Technical data — your browser type and approximate location may be logged by our hosting provider (Netlify) for security and abuse-prevention purposes.

We do not currently use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools. If we add analytics in the future (e.g. Google Analytics), this Policy will be updated and a cookie banner will be displayed before any non-essential cookies are set.

Why We Process Your Data

Under GDPR Article 6, we process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — when you submit the lead capture form, you consent to receive the requested file by email.
  • Performance of a contract — when you purchase a Tech Pack PDF, we process your data to deliver the product you paid for.
  • Legal obligation — French tax and accounting law requires us to keep transaction records for up to 10 years.
  • Legitimate interest — preventing fraud and abuse of the Service.

How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Lead capture data (name + email): up to 3 years from your last interaction with us, after which it is deleted.
  • Transaction records: 10 years, as required by French accounting law.
  • Hosting logs: typically 30 days, managed by Netlify.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers strictly necessary to operate FlatLabs:

  • Netlify Inc. (United States) — website hosting and form processing. Netlify is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
  • Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland) — payment processing, when applicable.
  • Porkbun LLC (United States) — domain registration only; does not access user data.

Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at flatsgenerator@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority:

CNIL — Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés
3 Place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France
www.cnil.fr

Security

We use HTTPS encryption across the entire Service and rely on industry-standard security measures provided by Netlify and Stripe. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

Children

FlatLabs is a professional B2B tool not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
